The carrot root topper with the haulm shredding module is a very efficient and economical machine for harvesting carrot, parsley and parsnip for direct processing.
The carrot root topper is designed for shredding haulm and simultaneous cutting off the heads of vegetable roots before harvesting.
The user of the carrot root topper made by Firma WEREMCZUK can obtain carrots whose heads are evenly cut off at a required height. Such carrot roots are ready for harvesting and delivering to the customer. The carrot root topper is designed for working on ridges as well as on beds. The machine can be also used for topping carrot on flat soil surfaces.
Operation of the machine is very simple. Connect the machine to the tractor, set the width of rows (spacing of supporting wheels), set the haulm shredding height (height of supporting wheels) and the topping height and adjust rotations of the topping saws (hydraulic regulator). The carrot root topper is driven at working speed of approximately 3 – 5 km/hour. With such working speed the machine can perform carrot topping on the field of approximately 2.5 – 3.5 hectares during a day (about 10 working hours) or on a larger field if the rows are long and time is not wasted for turning round.
During operation, haulm is shredded and thrown away on the left side (with regard to driving direction). While ordering the machine, one should specify the place where carrot root heads will be collected after cutting i.e. between two rows or on the outside of the rows.
The standard versions of carrot root toppers offered by Firma WEREMCZUK are equipped with:
- robust double mechanical drive of the shredding spindles with two-sided drive transmission,
- hydraulically-driven cutting saws with adjustment of rotations,
- adjustable supporting wheels.
Available versions of the carrot root toppers:
- two-row carrot root topper with the haulm shredding module
- three-row carrot root topper with the haulm shredding module
The carrot root topper fulfils all standards and requirements of the European Union with regard to machine safety. As a standard, each seeder is delivered with the instruction manual prepared in one of the following languages: Polish, English, Russian or German. Other language versions of the instruction manual are available on special request of the customer.
