The topping saws are complete cutting units with a hydraulic system. They are suspended on a beam and attached directly to the tractor by means of tractor’s linkage.
These machines are very suitable for topping carrot, parsley, parsnip or other root vegetables. Earlier haulm shredding is not necessary in this case.
The heads of root vegetables are cut off before harvesting the vegetables. This is very efficient and economical solution for harvesting vegetables that are designated for direct processing.
The user of this topping saw can obtain carrots whose heads are evenly cut off at a required height. Such carrot roots are ready for harvesting and delivering to the customer. This topping saw is designed for working on ridges as well as on beds. The machine can be also used for topping carrot on flat soil surfaces.
Operation of the machine is very simple. Connect the machine to the tractor, adjust the topping units to a proper width, set the topping height and adjust rotations of the topping saws (hydraulic regulator) and go ahead. When the machine is driven at working speed of 3 – 5 km/hour, it can perform carrot topping on the field of approximately 2.5 – 3.5 hectares during a day (about 10 working hours) or on a larger field if the rows are long and time is not wasted for turning round.
One, two or three cutting units can be attached to the beam.
The topping saws fulfils all standards and requirements of the European Union with regard to machine safety. As a standard, each seeder is delivered with the instruction manual prepared in one of the following languages: Polish, English, Russian or German. Other language versions of the instruction manual are available on special request of the customer.
