The cultivating ridge forming unit is designed for deep soil opening (15-25cm), ridge forming and soil packing on the side surfaces of the ridge. The ridges formed with the use of this unit are soft inside i.e. the soil is opened up to the depth of 30 cm. The ridge forming unit can be also used for bed cultivation.
The use of the AUR ridge forming units in cultivation guarantees the formation of the best possible ridges or beds for vegetable cultivation as well as the increase in volume and quality of vegetable crop. Such a design of the ridge forming unit enables the farmers to grow equal and large vegetable roots and guarantees uniform and high-quality vegetable crop required by the market.
AUR units have robust and durable structure. The units are properly loaded for deep soil opening and equipped with durable working elements. The units are equipped with a special deep-soil-opening soil miller that has very robust, abrasion resistant blades. This soil miller opens the soil deeply, accumulates a large enough bulk of soil to form ridges or beds and finally, it performs soil packing on the side surfaces of the ridges while maintaining softness of the ridge’s interior. The ridge forming disks are made of high-quality abrasion resistant steel.
The units are equipped with very robust transmissions that are suitable for rotational speed of 1000 rpm. AUR 2 unit can be equipped also with a transmission suitable for 540 rpm – this requirement should be specified while placing an order.
AUR-2 and AUR-3 units are equipped with a mechanical drive for the soil miller (with chains operating inside the oil bath) and a hydraulic drive for the ridge forming roller. Power is transmitted to the unit from the tractor. Required rate of delivery of the tractor's oil pump for AUR-2 unit is minimum 32-35 l/min while for AUR-3 unit it is minimum 50l/min.
AUR-4 units have a double drive of the soil miller, on both sides (sectional roller of the soil miller), with the chains operating inside the oil bath; the ridge forming roller is driven hydraulically from the tractor. Required rate of delivery of the tractor's oil pump is minimum 50 l/min.
AUR units are available in the following versions:
- AUR2 double-row ridge forming unit
- AUR2 double-row bed forming unit
- AUR3 three-row ridge forming unit
- AUR4 four-row ridge forming unit
- AUR4 four-row bed forming unit
Regardless of their version, AUR units are manufactured in two width standards: for the tractors that have the wheel track of 135 cm and for the tractors that have the wheel track of 150 cm.
The unit that cooperates with the 135cm wheel tract tractor makes ridges with spacing of 67.5 cm or 90 cm wide beds.
The unit that cooperates with the 150cm wheel tract tractor makes ridges with spacing of 75.0 cm or 105 cm wide beds.
In order to guarantee failure-free cooperation of AUR unit with the tractor, a power transmission shaft with an overload release coupling is required. The power transmission shaft is an accessory of the ridge forming unit and should be taken into account while placing an order for the ridge forming unit.

AUR ridge forming units fulfils all standards and requirements of the European Union with regard to machine safety. As a standard, each seeder is delivered with the instruction manual prepared in one of the following languages: Polish, English, Russian or German. Other language versions of the instruction manual are available on special request of the customer.
